Ad alternarsi sul palco durante i due giorni del meeting, per discutere del futuro e delle opportunità offerte dalla vela, saranno trentacinque relatori, provenienti da un totale di diciassette nazioni.
Da non perdere sarà il dibattito sulla Coppa America che vedrà coinvolti lo skipper di Alinghi Brad Butterworth, il portavoce di BMW Oracle Racing Tom Ehman, Paul Cayard, Sir Keith Mills, Alessandra Pandarese e Stéphane Kandler.
Organizzato da Informa Yacht Group, società leader nella gestione di eventi, il meeting, in programma tra il 10 e l’11 dicembre al Grimaldi Forum, radunerà i rappresentanti dei principali eventi velici internazionali, delle località più rinomate, dei team e di tutte quelle realtà che guardano al mondo della vela con interesse per promuovere i propri marchi.

WORLD YACHT RACING FORUM, ONE WEEK TO GO
[World Yacht Racing Forum Pres Release] Over 250 delegates are expected in Monaco next week for the first World Yacht Racing Forum, 10-11 December. Thirty five speakers from seventeen countries will address the two day conference in a series of presentations, panel discussions and debates about some of the key issues facing the business of the sport of yacht racing.
Amongst the highlights of the event, an America’s Cup debate will unite team Alinghi and BMW Oracle Racing, with Alinghi’s Brad Butterworth and BMW Oracle Racing’s Tom Ehman joining Paul Cayard, Sir Keith Mills, Alessandra Pandarese and Stéphane Kandler on the panel.
More than sixty media from around the world have confirmed their participation, whilst the last delegate passes available are being allocated.
Hosted by the Informa Yacht Group, a division of one of the world’s largest conference organizers Informa plc, the Forum will assemble the world’s leading sailing events, racing teams, media, TV networks and top sailing venues to discuss the opportunities for the future of yacht racing. Some of the key companies in sailing sponsorship will also be in attendance to assess the benefits and returns that sailing can deliver as a sponsorship platform.
The World Yacht Racing Forum will run in tandem with the fourth edition of the Motor Sport Business Forum, also taking place form 10-11 December at the Grimaldi Forum venue. Delegates from both Forums will have exclusive access to the networking and exhibition area of each Forum. The ‘Track & Ocean’ cocktail party on Wednesday 10th will provide a first ever opportunity for participants within both these high profile sports to meet and network with each other.
The conference will start next Wednesday 10 December with a keynote address by Sir Keith Mills, one of the key figures behind London’s successful bid for the 2012 Olympic Games, and CEO of the British America’s Cup Team Origin. Paul Cayard, ISAF President Göran Petersson, Volvo Ocean Race CEO Knut Frostad, Mark Turner, Shirley Robertson, Vendee Globe organisers and many others will take their place on stage to share their views on the key issues and opportunities our sport faces.
The Yacht Club de Monaco is the official host of the first edition of the conference, under the Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II. The Yacht Club de Monaco is one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious yacht clubs, located in the heart of Monte Carlo.
