Vendée Globe, il solito tran tran

[singlepic=1517,170,250,,left]Vendée Globe – Oceano Atlantico – Non c’è alcun evidente rallentamento nella velocità di Bahrain Team Pindar questa sera, contrariamente a quanto lo skipper Brian Thompson aveva detto di aspettarsi per oggi.

A fare le spese della veloce avanzata dello skipper inglese è Sam Davies. La solitaria britannica, impegnata su Roxy, è da quasi una settimana bloccata in un sistema meteo che le da e le toglie vento in continuazione. Un tira e molla che la ha fatto perdere la quarta posizione e tanto terreno nei confronti degli inseguitori, guidati appunto da Bahrain Team Pindar.

Al pari di Thompson cammina Dee Caffari, capace su Aviva di raggiungere una media di 15.4 nodi.

Come sempre tra i più veloci Michel Desjoyeaux. Spinto dagli Alisei, lo skipper di Foncia tiene a distanza di sicurezza Veolia Environnement e annusa l’aria, in attesa di percepire l’odore di casa.

VENDEE GLOBE, THE BAHRAIN SAMBA
[Vendée Globe Press Release] There is no obvious slow down in the speed of Bahrain Team Pindar this evening, contrary to what skipper Brian Thompson said he was expecting today.

The Roxy skipper felt she was through the worst of her light weather sailing which has prevailed for six painful stop-start days, and this evening she had slowed from her 10 knots of earlier in the day to 8.6 knots. Brian is now 241 miles behind Sam.

Dee Caffari is staying neatly in step with Thompson as well, making a very healthy 15.4 knots on the Owen-Clarke designed Aviva.

Michel Desjoyeaux is second quickest, keeping the power on as the trade winds drop for him. He is 511 miles ahead of Roland Jourdain.
