[singlepic=1246,170,250,,left]Vendée Globe – Oceano Pacifico – Buon 2009. A voi e, da pochi minuti, a Michel Desjoyeaux e Roland Jourdain. I battistrada della Vendée Globe, sintonizzati sul fuso orario del Texas, stanno ancora brindando al 2009.
Un brindisi solitario, alla salute di Capo Horn, dopo il quale si comincia a guardare verso casa. Superato l’ultimo Ice Gate della regata, Foncia e Veolia Environnemet hanno messo la prua verso sudest, in direzione dell’estremità meridionale del Sud America. A guidare è sempre Desjoyeaux seguito da Jourdain che dopo aver perso parecchio terreno si è riavvicinato alla vetta, lontana 67.7 miglia.
Dietro, il vuoto. Jean Le Cam, terzo, è a oltre quattrocento miglia, e ancora aspetta l’arrivo dell’anno nuovo. Come del resto Armel Le Céac’h, Vincent Riou e quasi tutti gli altri. Più d’uno, infatti, ancora non ha passato la line del cambio data e da poche ore è già entrato nel 2 gennaio. Incredibile Vendée.
