Monaco – Time to get back in the water and to begin a new season has come for the M32 Fleet. Six teams are currently preparing to compete for the 2017 M32 Mediterranean Series, which is going to start tomorrow in Monaco and will go on until October, crossing all the Mediterranean, for a total of five events.
The latest technologies all embodied in a boat will grant spectacular entertainment, in wonderful locations: “We are ready for the first event, here in Monaco, but a lot of attention is focused on the development of the rest of the season. M32s bring with them the ultimate concept of sailing, with speed and dynamism that fascinate everybody: regattas are sailed close to the dock and can be followed by spectators on shore. We think that with this format we are delivering a ‘packable’ version of the latest vision of sailing events and that’s probably why the attention of sponsors towards this Class is growing. Contacts are developing and we’re waiting for some official confirmations, that could allow our fleet to go sailing in the most exclusive locations of the Mediterranean for the following events” declared Riccardo Simoneschi, CEO of B.Plan Sport & Events.
During the season, the M32 catamarans will for sure reach the moorings on the docks of Genova, in September, where they will be among the protagonists of the 57th edition of the Salone Nautico, and in Trieste, final event of the season, in concomitance with the best-known regatta in the sailing world, the Barcolana. All the prerequisites to have a challenging and exciting season seem to be present.
Sailing in the waters of Monaco, there will be Italia Sailing Team (Riccardo Simoneschi), Team Neverland (Guido Miani), Section 16 (Richard Davies), Vitamina Veloce (Andrea Lacorte), Cape Crow Vikings (Håkan Svensson) and Candidate Sailing Team (MaxStelzl/Stefan Scharnagl).
The first start is scheduled for tomorrow, April 7th, at 12.00, with forecasted sunny conditions and a southerly breeze around 9 knots.
Event will end on Sunday, April 9th.
