Hydroptere, terminate le operazioni di recupero

Vela e record – Port Saint Luis du Rhone – Si sono concluse con successo le operazioni di recupero dell’Hydroptere, il trimarano che domenica pomeriggio, dopo aver toccato i sessantun nodi, si è ribaltato a causa delle avverse condizioni meteo.

La barca, raddrizzata con l’impiego di una gru, è stata ormeggiata per tutta la notte a Fos sur Mer e all’alba di oggi è partita alla volta di La Seyne sur Mer, dove sarà alata presso il cantiere Foselev Marine. Solo allora i membri dello shore team potranno fare la conta dei danni che, da una prima ispezione, sembrano limitati all’albero e all’elettronica. La struttura sembra non aver risentito più di tanto in seguito al violento impatto.

HYDROPTERE, TOWAGE TO LA SEYNE SUR MER 
Sail and record – Port Saint Lus du Rhone – The towage from Napoleon Beach to the port and the operation by crane putting l’Hydroptère upright went well. They were finished late last night and l’Hydroptère remained moored overnight in Fos sur Mer.

Early this morning, five crew members left for La Seyne sur Mer, on board the trimaran being towed. They should arrive at Foselev Marine in the early afternoon, where l’Hydroptère will be put into dry dock.

Thus, by the middle of the afternoon, l’Hydroptère should be put out of the water and the team will be able to examine the trimaran in detail, which seems to be fine. The rigging and the electronic system have suffered a lot but not the platform.
