Talamone – Inga From Sweden (Goransson-Vascotto, 1-3) leading from day one has scored today another winning bullet on race 7 of this third act of the Sailing Series® Melges 32 held in Talamone, series organised by B.Plan Sport&Events in cooperation with Melges Europe and the Circolo della Vela Talamone.
After a total of 8 races – with today’s two sailed under medium light south-western breeze, Richard Goransson’s crew with multi-awarded tactician Vasco Vascotto, has made itself heard over Giogi (Balestrero-Cian, 4-9), gold medal the previous act in Porto Ercole and today’s second place by a 12-point-margin over the winners. Third podium place for Pippa (Petterson-Ivaldi, 3-6), second place in a row after the one gained at the Argentario.
Fourth place for Synergy GT (Zavadnikov-Baird, 5-2), winner of the 2014 series, back on track also thanks to the introduction of an expert mainsail trimmer like Warwick Fleury, in the Hall of Fame of the America’s Cup.
Fifth place before a not shining Mascalzone Latino (Onorato-Appleton, 12-1), for Wilma (Homann-Celon, 2-4), that has been one of the top characters in the class for some seasons now.
After Talamone, the Sailing Series® Melges 32 will be heading to Riva del Garda for the European Championship taking place 7-10 July.
Next weekend the Sailing Series® will be back with the Melges 20s, still recording a very long entry list, closing up the season with the final World Championship in Scarlino at the end of August.
