“La partenship con K-Challenge giunge in un momento molto positivo per lo sviluppo di Pataugas. Il mitico brand francese, creato nel 1950 e rilanciato nel 2002 da me e dal Direttore Artistico Philippe Morvan con il supporto di Goerges Plassat, CEO del gruppo Vivarte – ha spiegato Sylvie Bondil, General Manager di Pataugas – Sino ad ora, il nuovo management ha dimostrato che è possibile guadagnare una posizione di preminenza sul mercato con un approccio etico e creativo”.

PATAUGAS JOINS K-CHALLENGE FOR THE LOUIS VUITTON PACIFIC SERIES
[K-Challenge Press Release] K-Challenge is proud to welcome a new sponsor onboard for the Louis Vuitton Pacific Series: Pataugas.

The French team named Pataugas by K-Challenge will be on the start line on January 30 in Auckland, New Zealand, with the nine other competitors taking part to this top level competition.

“The partnership with K-Challenge comes in a perfect timing for Pataugas’ development. This mythical French brand was created in 1950, and was launched again in 2002 by Artistic Director Philippe Morvan and I, with the support of M. Georges Plassat, CEO of the Vivarte group. Since then, the new management team has been eager to show that it is possible to get its number one position back on the market by having a creative and ethical approach”, says Sylvie Bondil, Pataugas’ General Manager.

She adds: “Sustainable development is thus for us a conviction since the very beginning, long before it became a social phenomenon (natural raw materials, production in Europe, work conditions for our suppliers, energy savings…). We are an “outdoor” brand that we made “urban” while keeping its natural origins, and the link with sailing came logically as it is a pure sport bound with nature.”

K-Challenge is now training with other teams on the race course of the 32nd America’s Cup in Valencia, Spain, before the team flies to “Kiwi” land.

Pataugas’ arrival in the team created a great enthusiasm amongst the sailors, who already are very motivated with the coming competition. K-Challenge will be proud to carry the colors of the brand that trusts the team for the Louis Vuitton Pacific Series.
