Louis Vuitton Pacific Series, un nuovo sponsor per K-Challenge

[singlepic=1411,250,170,,left]Louis Vuitton Pacific Series – Valencia – Il sailing team di K-Challenge è pronto per quattro giorni di allenamento intensivo che avranno inizio a partire da sabato mattina, quando a bordo di FRA-93 salirà il nuovo sailing team. L’equipaggio francese terminerà la sessione il prossimo giovedì, pochi giorni prima della partenza per Auckland.

Nei giorni scorsi tanta è stata l’attività alla base del team francese, volta interamente ad effettuare i test e i controlli del caso sulla barca, ferma dalla fine della Louis Vuitton Cup. A sovraintendere le operazioni è stato il Dimitri Nicolopoulos, uno dei manager del team.

Assieme a K-Challenge si allenerà anche Greek Challenge, per la prima volta impegnato a bordo di un ACC. Come sparring partner, oltre ai greci, gli uomini di Sebastien Col avranno gli equipaggi di Luna Rossa, Alinghi e Shosholoza.

Confermata la presenza di alcuni ospiti illustri. Lunedì 19 salirà a bordo di FRA-93 Raphael Ibanez. Dopo il capitano della nazionale francese di rugby, a visitare il team sarà Robert Pirès, calciatore sotto contratto con il Villareal.

Un nuovo sponsor
Infine, non meno importante, K-Challenge ha annunciato oggi pomeriggio l’ingresso di un nuovo sponsor che supporterà il team in occasione delle Louis Vuitton Pacific Series. Si tratta della Gaastra Pro Gear, ditta produttrice di abbigliamento.

LOUIS VUITTON PACIFIC SERIES, NEW SPONSOR FOR K-CHALLENGE
[K-Challenge Press Release] FRA-93 is ready for four days of training races at the highest level from next Saturday morning, where the new K-Challenge sailing team will finally be gathered onboard. K-Challenge’s ACC boat has been sailing since last Tuesday on Valencia’s race course.

Sebastien Col and his sailors have been testing and checking the boat with the help of the design and technical team, under Dimitri Nicolopoulos’ management.

Meanwhile, the Greek Challenge team has also been able to train from K-Challenge’s base this week, where they had the opportunity to sail an ACC boat for the first time.

K-Challenge will train from Saturday with experienced sparring partners as Luna Rossa, Alinghi and Shosholoza, which have planned some training sessions with the French team. Then all teams will fly to Auckland, New Zealand, for the Louis Vuitton Pacific Series.

Raphaël Ibañez will be with the FRA-93 crew on Monday 19, and another prestigious guest will also join them on that day: Robert Pirès.

He’s a “neighbor” of the team in Spain, as Robert plays with the Villarreal football club. (He was a member of the French Football Team who won the soccer World Cup in 1998 and then the European Nations Cup in 2000 (79 selections with the French national team).

Raphaël and Robert know each other quite well, as they met in the UK while Robert was playing with Arsenal.

A new sponsor join the team
Last but not least, K-Challenge is very happy to welcome a new sponsor onboard before the team leaves for the Louis Vuitton Pacific Series: Gaastra Pro Gear, and the crew will now be dressed with their clothing range. The team will already be wearing its brand new technical gear at the training organized from next Saturday!
