[singlepic id=3367 w=300 h=204 float=left]Audi MedCup 2009 – Cagliari – E’ stato presentato questa mattina il Trofeo Regione Autonoma di Sardegna. Tra i presenti anche Riccardo Simoneschi, skipper e proprietario di Audi Sailing Team, supportato da Q8 – organizzatore in loco – Nacho Postigo, Direttore tecnico dell’Audi MedCup Circuit, Alberto Floris, Presidente dello Yacht Club Cagliari, Emilio Floris, Sindaco di Cagliari, Giandomenico Sabiu, Rappresentante della Regione Sardegna, Franco Sergio Pisano, Responsabile Ufficio del Turismo della Regione Sardegna e Paolo Fadda, Presidente dell’Autorità Portuale di Cagliari.
La presenza ‘massiccia’ delle autorità locali e degli organizzatori del Circuito sottolinea l’importanza dell’evento per l’intera Sardegna e il fatto che ci sia moltissima attesa anche da parte del pubblico, grazie alle innumerevoli attività organizzate a terra.
Per i mattinieri è organizzato uno show già alle ore 10.00, quando le barche lasciano le banchine per raggiungere il campo di gara. Dalle 13.00 alle 17.00 (meteo permettendo), si potranno seguire le regate sul maxi schermo allestito all’interno della zona pubblica, con commento dal vivo di esperti regatanti.
Quando gli yacht rientrano in banchina (tra le 18.00 e le 18.30), ci sarà un altro spettacolo, mentre gli skipper firmano poster e rilasciano interviste. Ma non è finita qui: un moderatore commenterà, con la partecipazione dei velisti, i momenti salienti della giornata appena conclusa, allestendo una sorta di teatro a metà tra cronaca sportiva, e chiacchierata informale.
Al tramonto lo spettacolo prosegue con gli spettacoli e concerti che animeranno la serata e daranno l’appuntamento al giorno dopo.
Innumerevoli le attività gratuite per tutta la famiglia; a disposizione durante tutto il giorno i simulatori di guida, il gioco del grinder, competizioni, cinema, expo, premiazioni e tanto altro ancora

“Dal punto di vista velico, l’Audi MedCup Circuit è uno dei più importanti eventi al mondo e non sorprende, quindi, vedere a Cagliari così tanti nomi noti di questo sport. Abbiamo lavorato tutti insieme affinché il pubblico si possa divertire all’interno del ‘Village’ dell’Audi MedCup con una serie di attività che dureranno per tutta la settimana di regate”.

AUDI MEDCUP, REGION OF SARDINIA TROPHY WAS HELD THIS MORNING IN CAGLIARI
[Audi MedCup Press Release] The official presentation of the Region of Sardinia Trophy was held in Cagliari’s Crociere Terminale today, the eve of the official opening of the Audi MedCup Circuit Village. The important gathering of the key institutions and event organisation also revealed the comprehensive programme of shore-side facilities and activities which will complement the exciting racing on the waters and draw visitors to the Audi MedCup Circuit regatta village during the event.
Among those who were involved in the presentation today were Riccardo Simoneschi and skipper-owner of Audi Sailing Team supported by Q8 who is the Venue Organiser, Nacho Postigo, the Audi MedCup Circuit’s Technical Director, Alberto Florism, the President of the Cagliari Yacht Club, Emilio Floris, the Mayor of Cagliari, Giandomenico Sabiu, Representative of the Region of Sardinia, Franco Sergio Pisano, head of the Region of Sardinia Tourism Office and the President of the Cagliari Port Authorities, Paolo Fadda.
An important part of today’s presentation underlined the extent of the events and activities,which will take place at the Audi MedCup Race Village for all the visitors to enjoy. Among the exciting attractions will be a range of different concerts, public bars, ice cream stands, the Audi MedCup Cinema Experience, the Audi MedCup interactive Expo which explains all the details about the Circuit, the TP52 Series and GP42 Series yachts, the racing, as well as the Audi interactive Le Mans driving games. The evening entertainment includes concerts by Ratti Matti, Corinthy Cowboys, Los Salvapantallas and more.
