America’s Cup, SNG e Ras al Khaimah insieme contro il GGYC

America’s Cup – New York – Lo yacht club defender ha presentato congiuntamente a Ras al Khaimah una lunga serie di documenti legali per controbattere all’ennesima causa mossa dal Golden Gate Yacht Club. I documenti dimostrano l’assoluta legittimità di Ras al Khaimah come località designata ad ospitare i match della 33ma America’s Cup – ricordiamo un passaggio di una delle sentenze sino ad ora emesse “…la località scelta per il match potrà essere Valencia oppure ogni altra località scelta dalla Societé Nautique de Genève” – e la capacità di Ras al Khaimah di ospitare l’evento in termini di infrastrutture e sicurezza.

AMERICA’S CUP, SOCIETE NAUTIQUE DE GENEVE AND RAS AL KHAIMAH FILES PAPERS AGAINST GOLDEN GATE YACHT CLUB VENUE CHALLENGE
[Source Alinghi] The defending yacht club has filed its opposition brief regarding BMW Oracle Racing‘s latest legal challenge (the seventh from the American team; this time against the venue). The papers state the absolute legitimacy for Ras Al Khaimah to be the venue as per the Order and Judgement of 7 April 2009 (“[…] the location of the match shall be Valencia or any other location selected by SNG […]”). The papers also demonstrate the capacity of the Emirate to host the 33rd America’s Cup in terms of infrastructure and security.
In addition to the Société Nautique de Genève papers, the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, one of the seven that form the United Arab Emirates, submitted an amicus brief informing the Court of the safety and suitability of Ras Al Khaimah to host the 33rd America’s Cup in February 2010. The Emirate was surprised and offended by Golden Gate Yacht Club and BMW Oracle Racing’s statements as there is absolutely no basis for the assertion that RAK is an unsafe or otherwise unfit venue for the America’s Cup.
