AMERICA’S CUP, IF YOU MISSED SOMETHING…
[Source America’s Cup] If you missed what’s been happening over the past week in Auckland, here’s a great way to get caught up. This video will bring you up to date following the first week of test sessions, where the focus was on the race management systems.
This week, the race committee and teams will continue to trial different race course configurations and umpiring systems, while at the same time the television crews will begin to test their on board camera and microphone systems.
The goal, as ever, is to get ready for the first America’s Cup World Series event in August in Cascais, Portugal.
Here in Auckland on Monday morning, conditions are very overcast and blustery, with a forecast for winds near 25 knots, but starting to ease later in the day.
The plan is to launch and sail, with the test session starting at 1300 local time. Artemis Racing is planning to stay ashore, to allow the TV crews to rig up their systems.
We’ll update you if conditions or timings change due to the weather.
