Gli statunitensi, inoltre, hanno informato il defender che la stessa è disponibile per essere ispezionata presso la base di San Diego.

Un dato balza immediatamente agli occhi: il trimarano di BMW Oracle Racing vanta una lunghezza di 113.3 piedi e una larghezza di 89.9, quando le misure annunciate nella Notice of Challenge sono 90×90.
