AINSLIE BLAMES ORACLE FOR AMERICA’S CUP DELAY
[Newstalk ZB News] British sailor Ben Ainslie is pointing the finger at BMW Oracle Racing as legal action continues to delay the America’s Cup.
The World Sailor of the Year is set to skipper Britain’s Team Origin in the 33rd edition, if it ever gets out of the courts.
Ainslie says BMW Oracle Racing needs to admit defeat and ditch its latest appeal. He says Alinghi has recently come into line regarding the rules governing the next competition so one has to question BMW Oracle Racing motivation.
Ainslie has been in Auckland for the New Zealand Match Racing Championships, won over the weekend by Dean Barker.
