Newport-Bermuda – Newport – E’ stata pubblicata oggi la Notice of Race della Newport-Bermuda 2010. La regata, giunta alla 47ma edizione – la prima si svolse nel 1906 – avrà inizio il prossimo 18 giugno, mentre le iscrizioni saranno aperte il 18 gennaio e chiuse il 30 marzo.
Gli interessati potranno iscriversi online tramite il sito BermudaRace.com. L’organizzazione ha previsto cinque divisioni: la St. David’s Lighthouse (riservata agli amatori), la Gibbs Hill Lighthouse (riservata ai professionisti), la Cruiser, la Double-handed e la Open (riservata alle barche con canting keel).
Alla regata dovrebbero partecipare circa 200 imbarcazioni: nel 2008 furono 198.

NEWPORT-BERMUDA, NOTICE OF RACE IS ONLINE
[Newport-Bermuda Press Release] The Notice of Race for the 2010 Newport-Bermuda Race, which starts on June 18, has been posted at BermudaRace.com alongside a report of a recent survey of race veterans revealing high satisfaction with the historic “…trash to the Onion Patch”.
The entry period runs from January 18 to March 30. Electronic submission is the much preferred method. As in recent years there will be five divisions: St. David’s Lighthouse (amateur), Gibbs Hill Lighthouse (professional), Cruiser, Double-Handed, and Open (canting keel).
One of few international ocean races, this will be the Bermuda Race’s 47th running since it was founded in 1906. The last race in 2008 had 198 entries.
