[Alinghi Press Release] Alinghi, il defender della 33a America’s Cup, conferma che Emirates Team New Zealand ha ritirato la sua causa legale contro il team, Ernesto Bertarelli, AC Management e la Société Nautique de Genève.
Alinghi conferma inoltre che Team New Zealand parteciperà, insieme agli altri challenger iscritti, all’azione comune per riportare la 33a America’s Cup in acqua il più presto possibile, già a partire da domani a Ginevra dove cominceranno i meeting tra i Concorrenti.
Lo skipper di Alinghi Brad Butterworth saluta con piacere questo positivo sviluppo della vicenda: “Il fatto che alla fine Grant Dalton e Team New Zealand abbiano ritirato la loro azione legale, è una bella notizia. Sono felice che si siano resi conto che le vie legali non portavano da nessuna parte e che abbiano deciso di ritornare allo sport con tutti gli altri team. Abbiamo grandi aspettative per i meeting dei Concorrenti di Ginevra e per i successivi sviluppi, da raggiungere insieme come gruppo che comprende sia il Defender chee i challenger, verso l’obiettivo di riportare l’evento in acqua al più presto possibile”.
“Avere TNZ alle riunioni dei Concorrenti che partecipa con argomenti costruttivi insieme a molti altri challenger iscritti con l’obiettivo di realizzare l’evento nel 2010, è senz’altro un bel passo avanti. Salutiamo con piacere il loro ritorno” ha concluso Butterworth.

[Alinghi Press Release] Alinghi, defender of the 33rd America’s Cup, confirms that Emirates Team New Zealand has withdrawn its law suit against the team, Ernesto Bertarelli, AC Management and the Société Nautique de Genève and will now join all the other entered challengers in the process of getting the 33rd America’s Cup back on the water as soon as possible; starting tomorrow at the Competitor Meeting in Geneva.
Alinghi skipper Brad Butterworth welcomes this new development: “It is good news that Grant Dalton and Team New Zealand have at last stopped legal proceedings. It is great that they have seen that the legal route leads nowhere and are returning to the sport with all the other teams. We look forward to the Competitor Meetings in Geneva and to further progressing – as a group that includes the Defender and the challengers – towards getting the competition back on the water.”
