America’s Cup, nuovi guai per le spie di BMW Oracle Racing

[singlepic id=3720 w=300 h=204 float=left]America’s Cup – Genova – Dopo le vicende relative ad Antoine Bonnaveau, sorpreso fuori dagli stabilimenti di Alinghi dove cercava di carpire informazioni per conto di BMW Oracle Racing, si torna a parlare di spie in America’s Cup. Ieri, infatti, mentre seguiva Alinghi 5 nel corso di una sessione di allenamento, il gommone spia del team statunitense, ha creato non pochi problemi a un pescatore. Quello che segue è il testo della news lanciata dall’Ansa:
”Non voglio speculare su quanto e’ successo. Voglio solo sottolineare l’incivilta’ e la scorrettezza di certi comportamenti in mare”. Cosi’ il capitano Luciano Bacigalupi, 50 anni, ex ufficiale di complemento ed ex ufficiale di Marina mercantile, che si trovava sulla lancia Open quando il gommone-spia che segue Alinghi 5 da qualche giorno gli e’ andato addosso, tranciandogli il palamito.
E’ lo stesso Bacigalupi che racconta quello che e’ successo, racconto fatto gia’ alla Capitaneria: ”Mi trovavo ad una batimetrica di 75 metri dalla lanterna, a 600 metri dalla diga per recuperare un palamito. Ho visto arrivare la carovana di Alinghi 5 da ponente a levante. La carovana molto correttamente ha deviato quando mi ha visto ma un gommone di oltre 7 metri che la seguiva ha continuato dritto, puntandomi”.
A quel punto, Bacigalupi ha subito ”…segnalato con la tromba la sua presenza, ma quelli nulla: la donna che guidava guardava Alinghi, così come gli altri dell’equipaggio. Allora ho abbandonato il palamito e ho acceso il motore. Il gommone mi ha sfiorato, io ho manovrato fuori rotta lo scafo. L’elica del gommone ha strappato la madre del palamito. Il gommone e’ subito andato via. Dopo pochi minuti il tender di Alinghi si e’ avvicinato per sapere se andava tutto bene. Hanno assistito alla scena e molto gentilmente sono venuti a sentire se era successo qualcosa. Quelli del gommone si sono presentati dopo mezz’ora: ha cercato di scusarsi un uomo, un italiano mentre la donna che aveva guidato il gommone non ha detto una parola. Gli ho risposto che in mare non funziona così”.

Finally, the BMW Oracle-related tender returned half an hour later and one Italian man aborad tried to apologize for what had happened. The fisherman wanted to “stress the incivility and impropriety of certain behaviors in the sea”.
